高齢者ケアのためのVR(バーチャルリアリティ)技術の活用 (by Solis)

VR(仮想現実)技術の活用は、あらゆる分野で始まっている。ここで紹介するSolisVRは、サムスンのGearVRを使用した、高齢者ケアのためのVRだ。実際に行くことが出来なかった場所、行ってみたい空間を仮想体験することにより、満足感を提供したり、心を豊かにすることだろう。今後はリアルタイム配信のVRが一般的になってくると、コンサートやイベント会場への参加もできるようになり、より素晴らしい体験を共有することができるようになる。

高齢者の方にGearVRを装着してもらう。まさか、こんな体験ができるとは生まれた時には考えもしなかっただろう。

Virtual Reality can be used for many purposes but to bring the world to the rooms of aged care residents that can no longer explore it, is a beautiful thing. We are proud to release Solis, and aim to change the lives of aged care residents across the world. Although not the first use of virtual reality within Aged Care, Solis is the first of its kind for many ways: a hands free application that interacts with the web to make it a dynamic, ongoing experience.
