Yankee Hat - Augmenting our Nations Heritage
遺跡の情報を画像認識タイプのARで説明するデモストレーション
Yankee Hat is located in the Namadgi National Park and Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve in the ACT. The site is contained within a series of boulders where carbon dating has shown Aboriginal people used the shelter more than 800 years ago. Through a process of 3D laser scanning we have captured the environment, the shape of the boulders, surface texture and colour of the art itself. The technique is non-destructive and offers opportunities to preserve delicate sites and re-create them for investigation in other places and contexts. This work has been undertaken by AR Studio at the University of Canberra with support from Virginia Tech in the United States and APositive.
