スペインの携帯電話会社テレフォニカSAは、2012年9月17日(月)にヒューレットパッカード社が保有する拡張現実技術を持つAurasma社との提携を発表。フィナンシャル·タイムズ紙は、ウェブサイト上でこの提携に関するリリースを出したとのこと。スマートフォン向けの拡張現実の技術(画像認識技術)を用い、商品が購入できる広告主のウェブサイトに直接ブラウジングし容易に購入へ結び付けることができると説明した。
