ディズニーランドでは位置情報系ARが役に立つ - Magic Vision, where Augmented Reality meets Disney Theme Parks #AR

広い敷地内を歩き回り、たくさんのアトラクションを楽しむためには、やはりスマートフォン向けの場内ナビゲーションアプリが役に立つ。アトラクションの評価などが出来るようだ。

In preparation for the 2012 ImagiNations competition, I started working early to design an application for smart phone technology using augmented reality. The purpose of the app is to help the user navigate their way around Disney parks and gives the user the opportunity to mold his or her ideal Disney experience by using their time more efficiently. As the user pans their device's camera around (up to a full 360 degrees), the screen would populate with varying attraction information including wait times, fast pass availability, rider height minimums, descriptions of the attractions, and available dining options. Unfortunately, Disney changed the parameters of the competition this year to only accept ideas/designs that could, in essence, be implemented on the moon.
