シーン認識を前面に打ち出したAR - SREngine iPhone App 「 映画る?」

金村 星日氏が中心で進められてきた、SREngineの新しいデモ動画が出ていました。金村氏とはメールで何度かやり取りしましたが、対応も早く感じの良い方でした。

 Eigaru helps you to find out good movie for you at a movie theater. How do you get the story or the reputation of the movie from the movie poster? Eigaru uses the iPhone built-in camera to recognize the movie poster. This app shows the trailer, the story, and the reputaion. iPhone 3GS only (3G not supported)

SREngineとは...
Scene Recognition Engineの略で、拡張現実AR (Augmented Reality)に用いることを想定した、景色を認識・識別するソフトウェア・エンジンです。ここでシーンとは風景・情景・景色を指します。SREngineは画像処理技術を組み合わせてシーンを識別します。SREngineでは独自に考案されたアルゴリズムにより、高速・軽量でノイズに強い識別を可能とするよう設計されています。
