Qualcomm Vuforia SDK 2.8: Now with Extended Tracking - クアルコム社 Vuforiaが更に機能アップ

高性能なスマートフォン向けAR技術を提供する、クアルコム社のVuforia(ヴューフォリア)がV2.8になり更に進化した。
画像認識タイプだが、そのターゲット画像を見失てもスマートフォンのジャイロセンサーが補足・拡張し、3Dアニメーションが消えることなく自然に動作を継続する。その他も幾つか機能アップしたため表現の幅が広がることだろう。

The new Vuforia SDK 2.8 delivers a feature called Extended Tracking enabling you to build apps that deliver continuous visual recognition even when the target leaves the field of view. Also in this release: simpler development with Java APIs, cloud-based content storage, and compatibility with Unity 4.3.
