ARmedia Geo-located Augmented Reality Player #AR- 位置情報＋3DCG-AR技術で歴史的建造物を復元

ARでは老舗企業の1社、ARmedai が、位置情報技術とAR、そして3DCGを融合した歴史の建造物を復元するiPad向けアプリケーションのデモビデオを公開。過去、そこに建っていた建造物をiPadのカメラを通して体験することができる。

Geo-localization is ARmedia Player v1.2.0 main feature. This feature allows users to use GPS coordinates to locate a 3D model/animation on the earth's surface. The software then tracks the 3D model coordinates in the real space using a suitable sensor fusion technique. This makes it possible to display virtual models in the real world without any marker.

The Geo-localization feature extends the spectrum of visualization possibilities for the ARplugin users in many application domains, including architecture, engineering and cultural heritage.
