仮想現実の世界をマーカーでコントロール - On Interoperability between Online Virtual Worlds and Augmented Reality #AR
Second Life(仮想現実)ワールド上に表示された3Dのオブジェクトを WebCamで表示したマーカーの操作でコントロール。逆に、Second Life上で変更し3DオブジェクトをARで表示しているデモ。
これを応用すると、仮想現実と現実との情報を相互にやりとりする画期的なシステムが出来そうだ。
Rui Nuno de Almeida and Miguel Sales Dias From ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute, presented in São Paulo , Brazil, a contribution for the interoperability between on-line virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), via 3D object exchange. They describe architectures and techniques used in three experiments, to allow the visualization, interaction and two-way exchange of objects between an on-line VR world and an AR environment. The aim was to present a proof of concept for the interoperability of future social media applications.
