On the 9th July, schools taking part in the Animation10 event came to the Lowry, Manchester, for a awards day and showcase event. This is a brief demo of the Augmented Reality Showcase which was enjoyed by all.
Built using GoblinXNA, ALVAR and XNA 3.1 at the University of Manchester.
GoblinXNA and ALVAR show good tracking, even at extreme angles, and allows rapid prototyping of AR scenes including shadows and occlusion through an easy to manipulate scene graph. The Demos here are Array Marker Tracking, Particle systems, Shadowing and Large marker tracking for Architecture and Design. All models provided by TurboSquid artists.
