現在、サンフランシスコでクアルコムのイベント Uplinq2014が開催中だが、そこでも発表されるであろう、ウェアラブルの事例が公開されていた。最高レベルの画像認識ARトラッキング技術をもつVuforia が HMD(ヘッドマウントディスプレイ)端末に対応する。これにより、 ハンズフリーの立体認識によるARマニュアルなどが実現可能となる。この秋からβが公開されるようだ。
The Qualcomm® Vuforia™ mobile vision platform will empower developers to build augmented reality (AR) applications for a new generation of digital eyewear with the announcement of the Vuforia SDK for Digital Eyewear. This new SDK will allow interactive digital content to be visually aligned with the underlying world as viewed through a new generation of stereoscopic, see-through digital eyewear, such as the Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition, the Epson Moverio BT-200, and the newly announced ODG R-7.
